For precise corner connections on steel, stainless steel and aluminum sheet metal components

Automated welding of external corners — clean, reproducible, gentle on materials

Corner seam welding machines are designed for automated welding of rectangular outer edges to sheet metal components — such as cabinet covers, shelves, housings, frames or drawer parts. Materials such as steel, stainless steel or aluminum are processed in material thicknesses of 0.5 to approx. 4 mm.

The welding process is automated: The torch guide, welding speed and shielding gas supply are firmly defined so that uniform, post-processing seams are created. Operation is limited to inserting, positioning, swiveling and removing.

Corner heights are designed to be customer-specific — tailored to component geometry, tolerances and series requirements. The modular design also allows special solutions with additional positioning units or height adjustment.

What customizations are possible?

Customization options are generally available. For instance, a scissor lift table can be integrated to enable ergonomic work or the handling of very large workpieces.

Are there any particular differences between the versions?

There are two standard versions: one variant where the sheet metal is inserted and the burner welds a corner seam as a linear weld, and a second version where a vertical-down seam is possible for very large components.

How long can the workpieces be?

There is no limit; the possible lengths depend on the respective model. Standard lengths are determined by the specific versions.

What level of automation does the machine offer?

The process is as follows: The component is placed on the machine, the clamping process is started via a control button, then it is welded, and the workpiece can be removed.

Which materials and components can be processed?

Generally, all materials and components can be welded together.

Is the weld seam possible on the inside or outside?

In the standard version, the weld seam is on the outside due to the manufacturing process. Upon customer request, a special machine can also be implemented where the weld seam is on the inside. Additionally, depending on the design, it can be chosen whether welding is performed horizontally or as a downhill weld.

Our 3D seam welding machines enable automated welding on curved or hard-to-reach seam paths – with coordinated movements of the component and welding head.

Does your production need an integrated welding solution?

We support you in developing a tailor-made machine solution — regardless of the welding process, focused on your processes.
