3D seam welding machine
For complex geometries with multi-axis seams

Coordinated movement for complex suture patterns
3D seam welding machines from Klumpp Welding are designed for components with spatially curved or rotationally symmetrical geometries — wherever simple robot axes are not sufficient. The workpiece is clamped into a robot axis and actively moved during the welding process while the torch is guided at the same time. In this way, three-dimensional seams can be produced precisely, automatically and repeatably — for example on radiator grilles or other complex-shaped components.

FAQs
As an extension, the system can be designed so that several robots work at the same time and components can also be swiveled over other driven axes. Positioning and welding can be carried out within a machine without employees having to intervene again.
There is no limit to the length of the workpieces.
These machines offer a very high level of automation, with the aim of working without human intervention as much as possible.
In principle, it is possible to process any material.
There is no limit in the thickness of the materials.
Both are possible. 3D seam applications often involve moving across corners and precisely positioning the seam using camera tracking.
